I first started the original Bric-a-Brats website, almost 2 years ago (my god how time flies) and soon after I sent in a submission package to all of the major syndicates with the hopes that one of them would be interested in the comic strip and I’d be on my way to fame and fortune. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. I have not lost hope, however, and after reviewing the original submission package I realized that it really wasn’t quite as polished as it should have been. After almost 100 strips into this endeavor, I now realize how much better my artwork is compared to then and how much I’ve actually fine tuned the look of the strip and the characters, and I feel that I’m ready for round 2. That being said, I’ve actually been working on a second submission package and I’m happy to say it’s almost ready to roll. I’ll be sending it out to all the same syndicates again with the same hopes as before, but with a renewed feeling of professionalism. I hope to have it sent out just after Thanksgiving and then the long wait begins. It takes up to 3 months for them to review the package and reply so by February 2010 I should know if I’m on my way to fame and fortune or on my way to submission package #3. Wish me luck and keep your fingers crossed, and as always, thanks for your support.
